UK National External Quality Assessment Service Specialist Advisory Group for EQA of CSF Proteins and Biochemistry was interested in current practice for the biochemical investigation of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) in the UK. A questionnaire was sent and the results collated. The current practice for the measurement of CSF samples in the UK is satisfactory.
